Summer 2015 Reading Assignments

Below is the reminder of your summer reading assignments, with a link to the Reading List for each grade:

1) Rising 9th and 10th Graders (in Lower House)

Please see: Rising 9th and 10th Graders

Read more about the books, and the assignment, which will be your first grade in your Lower House English course. Lower House students need to read 5 books, 4 of their choice and 1 of the “Harvest picks.”
For questions, please email or, secondarily, myself.

2) Rising 11th Graders

Please see: American Stories Summer Assignment
This includes reading Octavia Butler’s Kindred in preparation for the year of American History and Literature that all 11th graders will take. If you need to borrow a copy of Kindred, you can stop by our summer school site at 351 west 18th St, 8:30-3:15 until July 24th.
For questions about the assignment, please email, or secondarily, myself.

3) Rising 12th Graders

Please see: “Summer Reading–Seniors.”
This assignment prepares you to finish your high school education in great style, by reading some of the great classics, and contemporary classics, you might have missed in the past four years.
For questions, please email, or secondarily, myself.

Happy Reading,
