Teacher Summit

While some schools seem to value a de-skilling of teaching by requiring scripted curricula, squashing teacher voice, and reifying opportunity and achievement inequities, we see teaching as a complex profession that requires rigorous skills and dispositions in order to tackle the complex problems of practice.  As such we value creating original curriculum that is made to give voice to students and teachers as well as working toward an aim of equity and social justice.  The Teacher Summit allows teachers to make their work public, to demonstrate their intellectual and professional growth, to collaboratively learn from one another, and to think deeply together about how to more effectively work toward equity.
